From the Desk of the Pastor...
The Reverend Belva Y. Boone
St. John’s MCC is a diverse Christian
community of members, regular attenders and friends, from all
walks of life, who are devoted to being and becoming Disciples
of and for Jesus Christ, in the church, in our community and in
the world!
As Disciples and followers of Jesus Christ, we at St. John’s
believe that the core of our mission and ministry as a church is
in The Great Commission: “Go therefore and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Creator, and of the
Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything
that I have commanded you” (Matthew 28: 19-20). Simply put, we
affirm and believe that God has called us to a four-prong
ministry; namely, to “find them, bring them in, grow them up and
send them out” in Jesus’ name. How blessed we are to have you
take a glimpse of who we are, for you are God’s reminder to us
of the ministry God has called us to fulfilled.
If this is your first time visiting our site, please know that
you are invited and encouraged to join us for either our Joyful
Morning Worship Service or our Evening of Praise and Worship
Service. We are here for you and are likewise eager and excited
to meet you. At anytime, know that you are always welcome!
On behalf of the members of St. John’s MCC, it is our desire to
serve and be of service to God by ministering to and with you.
My prayer is that, in every way, you will be open to and allow
the Word of God to speak to your heart, and that the warmth,
welcome and atmosphere of love and care that you encounter
through this community of faith will renew and refresh your
spirit as we seek to serve and worship God “in spirit and in
truth.”
We welcome you again to our website and pray that as you move
through this site that God, through the Holy Spirit, will move,
inspire and excite you!
Wishing You God’s Peace and Abundant Blessings,
Pastor Belva
