Windy City Black Pride: June 30 - July 3

Windy City Black Pride ( WCBP ) announced its plans for Independence Day weekend, when its activities traditionally take place.
From June 30 to July 3, WCBP will welcome approximately 20,000 people for four days of panels, film screenings and parties, among other things. Other highlights include an awards brunch and a youth pageant.
“Windy City Black Pride is the largest non-profit event in the Midwest for African-American LGBT people,” WCBP President Charles E. Nelson II stated in a press release. “Pride is more than a series of parties; it is a vital part of the work to be seen and heard in our communities and to have our families recognized in the culture at large—and, we can have great fun doing it!”
