Ms. Robinson had a vision to bring women who have been infected with
HIV together to address issues that concern them. In 1999, she moved out on that vision and invited several women to
come together to talk about issues related to their HIV status. Since that time, their agenda has grown to include various
educational classes and social outings. The group now does outreach to approximately 500 women and boasts a active membership
of about 60.
Each month, these women meet every other Tuesday for comradery and
support. One meeting a month is held at a local restaurant. Their meals have been graciously donated by the restaurants.
Legacy of Success would like to send a shout out to these restaurants and say, "Thank you for your support."

Ms. Robinson has a burden for these women. Her passion is to
help women see that they can live well even though they are HIV+. She teaches them to be self-reliant while rebuilding
their self-confidence and self-esteem. Through the community she has developed, many women find out that they are not
alone. They gain strength from each other.
At The Kitchen Table is organized through the AIDS Resource
Center's Education Department which is part of the Resource Center of Dallas. This group does not receive Federal funding
and depends solely on the generosity of the community. Your contributions will not only help to make this celebration
a success, but will also help this organization continue to meet the needs of our sistahs.
Along with donations to finance their outreach efforts, this organization
also needs volunteers to provide emotional support to these sistahs, some of which have children. Drivers are needed
to help transport the participants to the events. In other words, money is great and greatly needed, but your time is
needed as well.
