Summary: The Program Office will function as part of a team, working in all areas of the organization. Responsibilities

Financial Manager
Job
Title: Financial Manager
Employment
Status: Part-time, Minimum of 15 hours a week
Requirements:
Degree in accounting, certification, or equivalent experience required. Reports to the Director of Administration and works
in partnership with of the Treasurer of the Board of Directors.
The following
duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required
and assigned.
Manages
Financial Files: Keeps financial files in working order for purposes of referral, planning, and budgeting and to ensure
accurate information for reports and audits. Maintains monthly report file FSC operating budget such as balance sheets, income
statements, bank reconciliations, detail transaction listings and trial balances.
Maintains
Accounting System: Enters financial transactions into accounting system such as journal entries, deposits, checks and
other information as needed. Establish account structures. Enter budget information for planning and implementation purposes.
Processes
Checks: Process all checks with the exception of payroll checks that are issued by payroll company. Have in-depth knowledge
of FSC, donor advised and sponsored project account status.
Processes
Transfers of Funds: Processes transfers of funds for payroll, administrative fees, grants, and operating expenses for
FSC, donor advised accounts and sponsored projects as needed. Provides back-up documentation of transfers. Book transfers
onto ledger.
Reconciles
Bank Statements: Reconciles bank statements to ensure that the bank and ledger are accurate and complete and that they
balance. Develops reconciliation reports and mails them with balance sheets and bank statement copies to board treasurer.
Prepares
Quarterly Reports: Issue statements of financial activity to sponsored projects and donor advised accounts. Prepare financial
statement of all FSC combined accounts for Board of Directors. Prepares other financial analyses as needed.
Annual
Financial Responsibilities: Assists board treasurer, co-directors and other board members with annual budget preparation.
Load new FY budget onto accounting system. Compiles 1099 information for payroll company. Assists auditors with annual audit.
Provides
Accounting and Technical Support to Sponsored Projects: Confers with and advises sponsored projects on financial planning,
reporting and implementation.
