Have you been checking out JengoTV? There are some new additions to
the Channels section of JengoTV , like UZONE where YOU can upload video
so create, send and view.
Another Original Series is Chick Chat, which is fast becoming one of my
favorites on JengoTV. Chick Chat is an original show featuring
women of different ages, backgrounds and experiences discussing
everything from hot topics in the news to entertainment. Music artists
and other special guests stop by the chatfest to perform.

Queer Hip-Hop: it?s a lot more than a stylish oxymoron in this surprising, fast-paced documentary
on
the world of queer rappers. Featuring searing public performances and
raw, revealing interviews with the community?s most significant
players, the film captures an unapologetic underground music movement
just as it explodes into the mainstream - defying the music industry's
most homophobic genre in the process.
PICK
UP THE MIC features more than a dozen contemporary hip-hop artists,
representing a striking range of sexual and ethnic diversity. Shot over
a three-year period, the film traces their intertwining relationships
from San Francisco?s underground music scene of the early ?90s through
performances as recent as 2005.

Again, cruising MySpace -- where there are some talented sistahs -- I
came across one of our sistah comedians who will team up with another
funny lady of comedy, Margaret Cho, and others at the The Comedy Store
tomorrow night in Hollywood. For the first time, tommorow night's show
will feature ALL gay comedians so check it out if you're in Los
Angeles, you won't want to miss this one.

It?s less than two months before the two-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. For most of us, Katrina is a distant memory. Some of us believe the U.S. government has fixed the damage in this short time. Not so. Or that the scope of the disaster is simply too big to fix. Also not true. There is something each of us can do: support the volunteer effort. |

Among the Zapotec Indians of Oaxaca, Mexico, boy babies who are born in a certain position, or little boys who prefer to play with girls, are raised as women, and are known as Muxes (pronounced "Mooshays"). n the town of Juchitán, in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, Muxes have an important role to play in the life of the community. Because they are raised as women, the Muxes prefer to enter into relations with "straight" men. Since female virginity is important for marriage in Juchitán, unmarried boys have their first experiences with Muxes, but usually move on to a heterosexual marriage. |
