The vocals were not the Whitney of old but the song was still beautiful and beautifully sung. I have heard other songs on the new soon to be released album — which was moved up to August 31 — are nice but, again, the vocals are not what they used to be. Whitney hangs on a lower register which is fine. Like her aunt (I believe she’s her aunt), Dionne Warwick, age sometimes does that to the voice and perhaps Whitney’s voice has changed due to age . . . or something else . . . either way, she looks good, she sounds good and I look forward to the new release of a long-awaited CD (or album) I Look To You.
